About Auer Signal
We want to grow, not just today, but tomorrow. And we want it to be sustainable.
As a fourth-generation family business, we have always been committed to sustainable business practices. In 2022, we decided to support these efforts by implementing an environmental management system. As a first step, Auer Signal's corporate carbon footprint was calculated and the first company-wide environmental processes were defined, which have lead to ISO 14001 certification in 2024. At the same time, sustainability goals were defined to gradually reduce the company's own CO2 emissions through a continuous improvement process.
Our sustainability policy
Improved environmental performance
We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of all our business activities, continuously improving our environmental performance and protecting the environment. For this purpose, environmental targets and measures are developed as part of our environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 as well as continuous monitoring of the achievement of these targets. We are committed to climate protection and products with a low carbon footprint. Our own corporate carbon footprint (CCF) was calculated in 2021, and we strive to continuously improve our own CCF.
Economic Considerations
In terms of economic sustainability, we want to use our resources efficiently and reduce waste. We guarantee fair working conditions and wages in order to ensure economic stability and prosperity for all employees. The continuous assessment of and compliance with all binding obligations, standards and requirements in the area of sustainability is our minimum requirement.
Employees and communication
We can only accomplish the diverse tasks of an environmental management system together. This is why we attach particular importance to the cross-departmental involvement of our employees.
Constant dialog with our stakeholders and keeping the public informed are important to us. We therefore maintain an open communication style and discuss our environmental performance and activities within the four CSR activity areas of our sustainability report: responsible management, product and customer responsibility, employees, environmental and social commitment.
Auer Signal receives ISO 14001 Certification
Auer Signal's consistent efforts and dedication to environmental protection and sustainability in all areas of our business led to the successful achievement of ISO 14001 environmental certification in 2024. This significant milestone in our journey to become a sustainable and resource-efficient organization validates our actions and paves the way for future initiatives.
In addition to the ISO 14001 environmental certification, Auer Signal's quality management system has been ISO 9001 certified since 1999.

Auer Signal receives EcoVadis bronze medal
We have been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal for our CSR commitment. This marks an important milestone in our sustainability efforts. The medal is an award that recognizes a company's commitment to environmental protection, ethical working practices and responsible business conduct. With this award, we have proven that we are on the right path to achieving our sustainability goals.

Elektro Recycling Austria (ERA) and Auer Signal:
A collaboration for sustainable recycling of electrical appliances
Auer Signal has committed to commissioning ERA to take back old electrical appliances from Auer Signal - a partnership initiative that focuses on sustainability and resource conservation. ERA ensures that the electrical waste is recycled professionally and in an environmentally friendly manner. This cycle not only helps to reduce electrical waste, but also promotes the reuse of valuable raw materials, which makes a significant contribution to the circular economy. By cooperating with ERA, Auer Signal not only signals its contribution to environmental protection, but also emphasizes the importance of the professional disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
