Signalling as support in control technology
As part of automation technology, control technology plays an important role in plant and mechanical engineering. It is used to monitor the defined control variables in order to be able to react to deviations in a timely manner. If the measured value deviates from the controlled variable, a combination of light and sound, e.g. a signal tower or another visual-audible signalling equipment, is the best way to report the fault or deviation.
